Simay Arikan

Simay Arikan is the Head of Platform at KOMPAS VC, based in the Copenhagen office. She leads strategic value creation for the fund’s Limited Partners (LPs) by working closely with corporate strategy teams to identify key innovation challenges and strategic priorities. Her role involves engaging with corporate partners to facilitate proof-of-concept work and commercial agreements with portfolio companies, as well as sharing relevant deal flow and investment research.

Simay holds a BA in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from Istanbul Technical University, complemented by an Executive MBA from Kellogg and WHU. Her career reflects a deep commitment to innovation and sustainability. She started in industrial engineering, gaining experience in the UK and Germany, before joining VELUX in 2017, where she served as Sr. Director of Business Development and Exploration within the Product Organization, leading the ‘Buildings of the Future’ team.
