Again
Carbon-negative chemicals via novel fermentation technology.

The problem
The chemical industry is responsible for approximately 6% of global greenhouse gas emissions. Many production processes still lack sustainable alternatives, and economically viable solutions for capturing and utilizing CO₂ from flue gases remain a major challenge.
The solution
Again has developed a gas fermentation process that uses bacteria, CO2 captured from flue gases and hydrogen to produce green chemicals. Their first product, acetate, is used in various industrial applications, from plastics and packaging to textiles, coatings, and pharmaceuticals.
